Hands down he was my favorite author, and now that he has passed...doubt there will be more books so...any Authors like him? Or just books I might enjoy?

Read The Lions of Lucerne by Brad Thor. Also popular Alex Berenson, Brad Taylor & Ben Coes.
^ I remember reading "The Lions of Lucerne" and thought it was so poorly written that I couldn't understand how Brad Thor became a best-selling author. I assume he must have gotten better over time, but I haven't had the urge to pick up another one of his books. Any Brad Thor fans out there who can weigh in on this?
I have two more VF to go till I'm done with the series. IMO, Brad Thor's Scott Harvath is not as good a character and Thor doesn't add much to the genre.
I really liked Stephen Hunter's Earl Swagger series and the first three Bob Lee Swagger, plus a later one that introduced Ray Cruz in Afghanistan. I also just started my first Nick Heller book.
Daniel Silva's Gabriel Allon series would be my first recommendation.
