The Stand is one of my favorites also. Randall Flagg could've been seen as the anti-christ or other sordid symbolism. Another creepy book I have read is called Heart Shaped Box. About a guy who's dead ex-girlfriends family mails him her dead grandfather's suit (w/Gramps still in it).Very good read though! On another note good to be back on the forum I missed you guys!
