I forgot to add a book that I have ordered on Amazon.

"The Bone People" by Keri Hulme.

I remeber reading it many years ago and being very impressed by it. I want to read it again to see if I will still feel the same.

I too read it years ago.
It was an interesting peek into another culture.

I just finished Dark Summit by Nick Heil. Its an account of the 2006 climbing season on the North side of Mt. Everest, and focuses on the expedition led by Russell Brice, which was, incidentally, filmed for the Discovery Channel's Season 1 of Everest: Beyond the Limit. The 2006 climbing season urned out to be just as deadly and controversial as the 1996 climbing season chronicled in John Krakauer's Into Thin Air, a decade earlier. Interspersed throughout the narrative is a brief climbing history of Everest, from when it was first discovered to be the world's highest mountain, through George Mallory's three attempts, to the present day. Nick Heil is a gifted writer and makes the book a great read, while also providing lessons in climbing history and high altitude physiology.

I saw that John Grisham, Vince Flynn, and Michael Connolly all had new books out.

I enjoy the work of Harlan Coben and Lawrence Block. I will frequently read any new Dean Koontz that I happen to see (I remember titles very well, so know if I've read the book or not.)

[Connolly or Connelly? You know, I'm not sure of the spelling of the name at all.]

I'm about 3 chapters into "When all the world was Young" a memoir by Barbara Holland and like it very much. She is an American author of 14 books, none of which I have read yet but will be checking out a few of those. She certainly has a way with words.

I am currently reading James Patterson's Alex Cross series. I think I have 7 more to go. After this I might slide Time Travlers Wife in before I move to Womens Murder Club series.
