I'm sure that most people can find a self-help book that somehow speaks to them individually. But overall self-help books are pretty useless. That's why there's such a big broad market of them. Wish I could remember the name of the book I read about how it's mostly just another racket.

How to Win Friends & Influence People by Dale Carnegie, especially the Spanish version. We can't keep it on the shelves in the library system I work in.

I thought the "Five Love Languages for Singles" was good. It helped me to see some of my friendships in a different light (positive) and helped me to better understand how to communicate with them.

I agree. Most of them are just common sense.
