Hey there! I'm a fan of the Stephanie Plum novels by Evanvovich and was wondering if anyone could recommend any authors that are similar. I'm looking for fun/quirky mysteries with endearing characters. Thanks for the help!

Although not quite as hilarious as the Stephanie Plum novels, you might enjoy Laura Lippman's series of books about newspaper reporter turned private detective Tess Monaghan. A little more serious than the Evanovich books, but still fun to read.
you might enjoy the Herb-theme books by Susan Wittig Albert. her main character is china bayles and her new-age friend ruby. there are quite a number of the books. not laugh-out-loud like stephanie plum, but totally enjoyable. also, the diane mott davidson books with Goldie the caterer!
I do like the books by Cleo Coyle about the coffee shop owner/amateur sleuth--those are fun and good coffee making tips too! Thanks for the suggestions---keep them coming!

I love the books by Susan Wittig Albert. I had forgotten all about them, but now I am off to find the ones I haven't read. Thanks!
Thanks for all the advice! I'm armed and off to the library!!! I do love the Women's Murder Club books by Patterson--not funny, but well done with characters that I love to follow. Can't wait for #9 (I think he's done 8...)! Oh yes and I love JD Robb's In Death series, also fun and well crafted crimes to solve. Keep the advice coming (please)!
