Megabus recently announced it would be greatly expanding its service to/from Philadelphia, expanding service on one route and adding new service on four other routes. One of those new routes is a Boston-Philadelphia route. The new service starts 7/21/10.

I'm not sure what kind of demand there will be for this service, but it definitely will be cheaper than Amtrak. It also may be semi-time competitive with Amtrak if the buses don't stop in New York (which is a factor for Amtrak services between cities north of NYC and south of NYC).

After hearing about this, I think me and the Girlfriend will be going for a weekend over the summer. Always fun to check out different cities, especially at that price.

Not sure if that long of a bus trip is palatable to some. At least NYC from Bos. is usually not longer than 4 to 4.5 hours.

But I hear Megabus is more luxurious vs. Chinatown buses or Peter Pan, so I'll consider it.

Are plugs for DC cords to use my phone available for all passengers at their respective seat??
