So, I'm getting ahead of myself because my husband and I don't have kids, and aren't planning for a family at the moment, but I'm curious: Are there any Hindi / Indian cultural schools or courses for kids in Boston/Somerville/Cambridge?

My cousins went to Hindi school in Toronto, and that helped them stay in tune with our roots. I was more Americanized in my interests growing up, but now I want my future kids to maintain at least the level of exposure to Hinduism and Indian culture I had growing up. I'm in an interracial marriage, and so I think it'll be important for the kids to get a good dose of both of our cultures.

(I believe MIT and Harvard, and a few other places offer classes for adults, so I'm specifically looking for kid stuff.)

I'm not sure but I think the Sri Lakshmi Temple in Ashland may have classes for children. I don't know if that's too far for you, but if so they may know of classes closer to the city.

Yes. I forget what it is called but it is used to be held in one of the Lexington schools on weekends. I think they primarily teach foreign language and some basic culture - it is only for kids. It was there as of 2 years ago or so. You may just call Lexington High and inquire.
