Hi everyone. I will be in Boston for business tomorrow. How hard is it to get Bruins tickets the night of the game? Can i purchase 30 minutes prior to the game?

Are there 1 or 2 sports bars you would recommend I visit instead of going to the game? Thanks.

It might be doable on a Tuesday if it's just one person. I don't know for sure. But there are definitely tickets available (for a premium) on StubHub, craigslist, ebay, etc.

The Fours is a big sports bar with an extensive menu just across the street from the Garden. They have all kinds of sports memorabilia in there and before/after the game it will be packed. Other sports bars are on the same block and in other parts of Boston, like the Back Bay, there also are plenty of sports bars. We've got 'em in spades.

What Holden said. Go to the box office and see what's available. Or you can see who is hanging around the Garden selling tickets. I'm not a fan of the scalpers, but you can usually find a regular person going to the game who is trying to get rid of an extra ticket because someone canceled on them, etc. It's much easier if you just need one ticket. I don't know who the Bruins are playing. You'll have an easier time if it's not a big game.

You can head down there to try and get a ticket and if it doesn't work out, just go to one of the bars. As Holden noted, the Fours is a popular bar right outside the Garden, but there are others right in that vicinity.

The new Jerry Remy's Sports Bar is now open in the Seaport area, a baseball's throw from the Seaport Hotel. Looks very impressive when walking by at night with all the large tv screens illuminating through hugh windows. His original spot is near Fenway.

But as stated, The Fours is convenient as is Boston Beer Works a few doors down.

The Bruins have sold out every game this year, even weeknight games. They're playing Chicago tomorrow, an original 6 matchup. Chicago only plays here every other year due to their Western Conference position., thus demand may be high as they still are the Cup champs (but probably not too much longer!).

I wouldn't be surprised if higher priced tix ($100) are still available on their own site. However, the Bruins-Montreal game last week drew the highest tv rating for them ever on NESN (since broadcast there began in the mid-80s). It was much hyped, of course, due to the controversial hit last month when the teams last met.
