How about "The Boston Strangler"? One of the very few movies that was actually shot in its entirety in Boston. And please note, I'm talking about the 1968 version with Henry Fonda, Tony Curtis, and George Kennedy. How could we have missed that one on the list?

Also, anybody ever seen "The Brinks Job"? Hilarious comedy about a bunch of mafioso buffoons in Boston.

There was another movie made sometime in the early 70's that I think had Burt Reynolds and contains some of the only surviving footage of the old Charlestown elevated orange line, both interior and exterior shots. I don't know what its called though.

I don't know about favorite, but the only movie I can think of right now is The Town. I enjoyed that one.

Yes, that was good.

I think I saw this too. Was it in the 70's set in an old police station where they were painting?

Of course if metro-Boston is a valid consideration, I'd throw in The Crucible for sure, and Hocus Pocus just for fun.

If we can add set partly in BOS, then how about War of the Worlds - where Bostonians took down the ship! BTW, that was about the worst Boston set ever, eh?

I guess this dates me, but I really did like "The Verdict". Wonderful acting with Paul Newman at his best.
