It is silly.

Not only that but the taxpayer is the one pretty much funding the whole thing in Boston.

At least from the sounds of this thread...didn't pick up much steam in Boston?

No, it did. Just not on this forum.

I don't think every sign every person there has is on point, but I think it's absolutely vital. Frankly, given what's happened in this country, it's shocking and quite disappointing we don't have a lot more people with pitchforks out there.

As for the taxpayer stuff, the First Amendment means something. 99% of those "taxpayers" have been far more screwed by the financial sector than by having some police OT for this. In the mid-70s the top 1% brought home 9% of the nation's income, today it's about a quarter. Much of that goes to people in finance who have done more harm than good to our economy. That people not only tolerate it but defend it is what's silly.

Herman Cain had a great quote on the subject:

"Don't be mad at Wall Street, don't be mad at the banks, if you aren't rich then be mad at yourself!"

Bank of America- employs a few millionaire higher ups, but their pay pales in comparison to its regular employees (over 250,000 nationwide). So they employ what would equal a good sized city, can you imagine what their weekly payroll looks like!

These protests are nothing more than lefties who were fooled into thinking that Obama was going to transform the nation. With the exception of the healthcare bill, he is proving to be more of the same and this has them in an absolute froth. They now feel that the ballot box is worthless so they take to the streets.

BTW, if government had not felt the need to get involved in the mortgage industry none of this would have happened. Fannie and Freddie are unconstitutional.

I thought Boston was supposed to be a liberal place. From the people I've met so far, it seems quite conservative.

It has more to do with the Democratic Party than it does with liberalism. The people of Massachusetts simply think the word Republican is a dirty word.
