Both scenarios are terrible. There is nothing to like about either one, but scenario 2 is particularly bad regarding bus cuts. I'm fortunate that I can afford (albeit with some grumbling) fare increases, and I can be flexible about mode and route options. But a lot of people are going to essentially lose the 'T as an option, and that is a disaster for urban life.

The round trip ticket will be basically $25 from So Attleboro to South Station. That is including the $3 surcharge one will pay on the train on the outbound, due to there is no one to buy tickets from at this station. It is just a platform in a shopping center. That price does not include the $4.00 parking fee which I imagine will be going up also. The fare today June 28th is $14.50 RT. So that is a huge increase for a slow train to South Station. The train is a complete rip off and is obiviously for a higher income person. Especially if they are riding that thing 5 days a week. The Monthly pass and monthly parking fee must be beyond outrageous. I will not ride it at all anymore. Fortunately I rarely need to go into Boston. Its just not worth my time even with how bad traffic and drivers are here. So that is how the fares and cuts will affect me. They won't I won't be using the so called system.
