Although I was a teen at the time, I thought it was a good show. If you liked the "Spencer" series, you'd probably enjoy it.

I like Spencer because most of the novels take place in Boston and I realy appreciate Boston and New England.
I'll seek the series ASAP

At the time, Yes! No idea if it holds up watching it today.

1. On the TV show Spenser drove a Mustang. He had a new 80s era mustang, but stopped a guy on the street and traded him for his 60s era mustang, straight up. That was cool.
2. The character "Hawk" was where we were first introduced to the actor Avery Brooks, who would later be the captain of Star Trekeep Space 9 (which I thoroughly enjoyed also).
3. Spenser was played by Robert Urich, who later died from cancer. I remember him from the TV series Vega$, where he lived in a loft that he literally would drive into and park.
4. They filmed a lot of Spenser in and around Boston. So much so that people used to say "Oh, they must be filming Spenser today," whenever there was unexpected traffic or diversions.
5. You look like a newbie if you spell it "Spencer." Please note - it's "Spenser."
