I'm looking for a park downtown or a park with a great view of the skyline that I can take my daughter to and get great pics...I promise I won't wear my Tampa bay rays shirt LOL thanks in advance..I'm so excited to go there I've never been up north before haha

The Public Garden would be one of the best parks downtown, but not sure it would be the best for skyline pics due to the close proximity.

How about Charlestown? I recall being in someone's condo a couple years ago and having a great view of the city skyline. I was on a rooftop deck, so that may not translate well to street level.

You could ride the Swan Boats.

Besides that, not really much in the way of attractions for kids. There is a playground in the Commons (other side of Charles St) that's crawling with kids during the day.

The view of the skyline from the entrance of the Public Garden at Arlington St and Comm Ave (where the George Washington statue is) is halfway decent. As mentioned above, the Swan Boats might be a fun thing for your daughter and you to do together, but there isn't a playground in the Garden itself. There is a playground on the neighboring Common, but you can't really see the skyline from there. They're a short walk from each other.

Charlestown is not a park, it's a neighborhood. It's actually tough to get good pics of the skyline there unless you're high up - e.g. the Bunker Hill Monument - which is a pretty steep climb, especially for a small child.

The best skyline views are arguably across the river in Cambridge along the MIT campus, especially where Mass Ave meets Memorial Drive. There is a little bit of green space here for your daughter to run around in, but it's not exactly a "park" per se. This area is walkable from Back Bay.

If you're willing to take the T (subway) away from downtown, there are a few better options. Piers Park, about a 5-10 minute walk from the Maverick stop on the Blue Line has excellent skyline views across the harbor as well as a playground. That would probably be your top choice. Another option is the very large Joe Moakley Park near the JFK-UMass stop on the Red Line, although the skyline view is a little less dramatic without the water in the foreground.

Unless your camera has no zoom whatsoever, I would say it's actually better than anywhere close to downtown. You can't really get a good view of the skyline when the skyscrapers are all around you.
