I'm going to my 1st Red Sox game on Sunday 6/10/12 to watch them play the Nationals, and I need to know where the cheapest place to park around Fenway park is. Or if anyone can suggest some parking further away, like on local streets that aren't too crowded, that'd be awesome too!

I never park in the city for sporting events. I'd recommend parking near a T station and taking that in. I'm on the North Shore so I usually take the Blue Line into the city. $5 to park at Wonderland.

That game won't be crowded....I used to park at the dry cleaner/laundromat on Queensberry. The owner would let you park there for $10 since most of his clients are locals that walk in/out. It is within view of Fenway.

I always find parking on the side streets north of Kenmore Square. Baystate Rd.

Oh! Also forgot to mention how soon should I arrive to get a good spot?
I'm planning to leave by car from New York around 7:30 - 8am, So I figure I should get there by 11am - 12pm and game time is around 1:35pm.

Dapanza, one suggestion is to get on 95 north (128) and go to to Riverside station and take the Transit in. The Green Line. Its a bit of a T ride, but the parking at the riverside station is cheap and the trolley takes you right to Fenway. It is a bit unconventional, but being from out of town, this is a good way to get a Quasi tour of the area as well as avoid our world renowned traffic and cow paths turned streets. You would need to leave a bit earlier as well. Note that I am in The Bronx once per month for work and love my visits.

I posted a link to the station below

Yeah, I think parking at Riverside might be the best option. How are you coming? I'd recommend not taking 95 the whole way, but instead taking it to New Haven, then taking 91 to 84 to 90 (Mass Pike). When you get to 95 on the Pike, take 95 South, then exit at Grove St. for the station and parking lot. The Riverside line will take you directly to Fenway Park, and just follow the crowd when you get off the train.

The danger of parking at Riverside is that the lot does often fill up on game days. Be sure you have a back-up plan in mind, especially if you're not going to arrive well before game time.

There is ALWAYS parking on Parker Street. Here's a link to the map. Parking is metered between Ruggles and Huntington but it's free on Sundays so no worries. Past Ruggles, there are no meters and no neighborhood stickers required for parking. It's about a 10-15 minute walk to Fenway from this area by the MFA and through the Fens. It's pleasant and easy. No traffic, no train crowds and no expensive parking. Parking here in the summer is super easy. Parker St. is sandwiched between Northeastern and Wentworth. Most of the students are gone and parking can be had easily.

You could get there for 12:30-1 and be good for a 1:30 start, though I'd recommend getting there earlier. These spots don't really "fill up" for games either so you'll be fine whenever you get there.

Henry Allan, good point as I travel to NYC and CT once per month and avoid 95 altogether and at all hours. I use 84 to the pike etc. Also, I was not aware that Riverside got that busy.
