Hello! I'm attempting to relocate to Boston from Key West. My current employer's HR representative was nice enough to contact the company's branches in Boston and I first spoke to the HR Coordinator of one of the Boston branches, who was very nice and seemed interested in me being able to start working there. She asked for my resume and emailed me back saying a Staffing Manager will be contacting me directly for an interview. That was a Thursday. The Staffing Manager called me on Monday and we had a brief pre-interview over the phone. She then set up a Skype interview for that week's Thursday with her and the manager of the department I had applied for. The interview went well, I think. They did say that because it was the week before Thanksgiving, they would take until the week AFTER Thanksgiving to get back to me. It is now the end of the week after Thanksgiving and I've yet to hear from them. I called them Thursday but I got the voicemail so I left a message and I didn't receive a call back. Should I call again on Friday? or should I wait until Monday? Should I send an email? Please help!!!

If you already called, if it were me I would wait until Monday, mid-morning. I would just say that I was following up since they said they would be back in touch with you by now.

Maybe mention it to your current HR rep. "I haven't heard anything, have you spoken with so-and-so in the past few days?"

Or you could send an email politely asking for an update.

It sounds like it's a fairly large company, is it? Sometimes these things take time to work its way through the various levels of management.

I, personally, don't like to continuously call. I figure one or two follow ups at most and if they want to hire me, they'll be in touch. But that's just me. Some hiring managers like to see people aggressively follow up. Either way, good luck!
