Any one know how long the greenline takes to get from Riverside starting around 9AM weekly to the back bay/copley area?

I have taken that often way in the past, I believe that it is about a half hour. It is one of the longer rides aside from the Purple Line. It is a real scenic one as well in some places

I would leave a bit longer than 30 min. You might be lucky but allow some more time. Re Bob's comparison to the purple line, the Riverside green line was built as a passenger railroad just like all the so-called purple line routes. The old MTA acquired the line in the 1950s from the Boston & Albany RR, converted it to a streetcar line, and connected it into the Boylston St subway.

missionhill, thanks and you are right, it is most likely almost 45 minutes now that I think of it. It is one of the longer lines outside of the purple line.

On a more humorous note, a few times, we would skip school and ride that line for 10 cents just for the view. It was like being in a different country with all of those trees lol

Good thing about getting on at Riverside -- first on -- almost guaranteed to get a seat! I'm at Fenway and some days I don't know how they fit everyone on.

The return ride takes forever -- the D train NEVER COMES. EVAH!
