20 years ago I used to go to Boston on business frequently. One of my clients took me to a restaurant that has stuck with me over the years and I would love to go back there one day when I'm in the area again. Problem is, I can't remember where it was or what it was called!

It could have been in Dedham, Newton, Braintree, or (less likely,) Framingham. It seemed to be surrounded by woods. Old classic interior, very expensive, meals served on blue and white willow pattern china.

Maybe it was part of a country club, I don't know. I just remember being overwhelmed with the whole experience - the ambience, the excellent food, and the incredible service.

I would be so grateful if anyone knows this restaurant, if it still exists!

Can you narrow it down some more?

Well, that's the problem, Mass. I can't. It's like looking for a needle in a haystack.

The dining room was large, yet intimate... there was a huge window or french doors looking out into a forest or a woody area. It really felt like we were in the middle of a forest. I wish my memory was better. I'm almost positive it was closer to Dedham and Newton.

As far as Dedham, Westwood, West Roxbury, and Norwood I can't think of anything that ever fit that description. In Newton it's possible, maybe Needham?

It doesn't sound like anything in Needham or Wellesley. Sounds a little like The Sherborn Inn.

It's very possible this restaurant doesn't exist anymore. We are talking about a 20 year old memory.

OMG! I believe that's the one! And I think I even see where I sat!! THANK YOU!!

And it's right near Framingham where I said it probably wasn't. LOL. Makes sense. I was doing work for Computer World back then and I think they were in Framingham. For some reason I pictured it being a long drive. It was actually closer to 25 years ago or 30. Damn. Time to get back there again. The menu looks awesome!

Thank you so much. This has driven me crazy for years!
