UMass-Amherst students organize a loving gesture to the 170 + victims of the Marathon bombing.

They have a facebook link in the article. boxesforboston.webs.com

They emphasize that these are not relief items they're sending, but items to help bring a smile to the faces of those most closely affected by the tragedy.

I'm watching the service right now and I kept thinking "that looks like Liz Walker!" Sure enough, it IS Liz Walker! IDNK she had become a person of the cloth.

Obama almost fell asleep while Yo Yo Man was just playing! He must be really tired having to be "on" all the time.

We are fortunate to have great leaders at this time. Our governor is unflappable. His speech at the service was strong and inspiring. President Obama is "there" for us too and for him to come and add comfort at this time is healing. He gave a personal and heartfelt speech. His sense of outrage is palpable and resonates with my own as I have gone from total sorrow to anger and outrage that anyone could do such a thing. "We'll pick ourselves up, keep going and finish the race." "This doesn't stop us." We'll finish the race.

That was one rousing end of Obama's speech.

It's been so weird and surreal this past week. I go from sad to puzzled to angry. I had friends who ran and volunteered at the marathon who are shell shocked right now. Thankfully no one I know was hurt. I am angry and sad for the people who did not make it or were injured by this cowardly act. I volunteered for the Boston Marathon Expo on Saturday. Seeing all the faces who were excited to be running and then this happened. I was going to run the marathon for charity but I have so much on plate lately that I had to back out. I will run it next year that's for sure.

Lots of hugs and thoughts and prayers for everyone.
