My mom just got a boston resident permit parking sticker for her car and I want to know if I could put it on either the lower left or lower right side of the windshield? I want to do this because I might want to get her cars windows tinted later. I see them on the side windows of cars and on the windshield once on another car so i think it would be okay but I want to make sure.

I don't know about the front windshield. Something tells me the meter maids will be too lazy to check all windows on the car if they don't see it right away. You can always easily move it for the tinting. Plenty of people with tinted windows have them placed on their back window.

I have mine on my back window, but know people who put it on the side windows.

most people put it in a back window or the top right of the passenger side window. I wouldn't put it on the windshield. My buddy had it tinted over then cut out, looked perfect, just gotta be careful when removing for new stickers.

What do the instructions on the back of the sticker say? Rear windshield lower right or passenger side window.

Just do not forget to clean the snow off within a certain amount of time. Not sure of the exact requirement.

No, the meter maid will not brush off the lower right of every rear window along the street in hopes of finding a parking sticker.

This is advice I learned after years living here...

Hmmm...just saw an SUV with two resident stickers on the front passenger's window. So, if it was good for the prior year, they likely had no problems and decided to stick the current decal there also.

Nooooooooooo!! Save yourself!!!!

You can only put the sticker on the passenger side window IF you have a soft-top/cabriolet/jeep. Otherwise -- you WILL be ticketed. Often. Daily. Hourly.

You will also get a ticket if you do it correctly and will have to spend many hours downtown at City Hall with the ticketing department, too. Trust me on this one...I've had two Jeep Wranglers with resident stickers. Every year I had the pleasure of visiting their offices armed with pictures and sworn statements even when doing it "correctly."

If you're tinting your windows so dark you can't see the sticker, you may be fined by the police.

I have also seen drivers mark out on the EXTERIOR in white vinyl tape the sticker location and # when they have darker than normal tinted windows.
