Well, yeah...there are kind of a lot of good spots. What interests you? Sports, history, art, entertainment, education, architecture, nature, food, etc.?

Agreed, there's plenty to see and do. Really depends on your interest. Although a bit tacky, I do feel the duck tours give a first time out-of-towner a good lay out of the city and provide some historical context. After that, you have a lot of historical moments/areas/buildings, the Harvard tour is neat, a game at Fenway is awesome, great seafood restaurants, the Boston Garden, and walking nice areas like Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Charles River, North end (Little Italy) and South End (more hip). The ICA and Museum of Fine Art are worth it as well if that's your thing. Do the tourist thing and visit Cheers if you like. There are plenty of nightlife spots scattered throughout the city, just depends on what scene you are looking for.

Know what, just do the hop on hop off bus. It'll take you to most places. And consider the Freedom Trail too.

And just an FYI, it's considered polite for out of towners to throw money to pedestrians, so bring a lot of bills and throw them at us.

Have a blast.
