I am planning a weekend trip to Boston to propose to my girlfriend and enjoy the city. I will more than likely fly Skybus which goes into the airport in Chicopee, MA. What would be the best way to get to Boston from this airport...and the cheapest I may add?!?

Thanks.

Wow... I never thought about flying into Springfield to get to Boston...

Springfield is 1.5-2hr away... I'm pretty sure there is a greyhound bus... but I think it takes forever to get into Boston... 3-4hrs (as you may need to do connections). I'm not even sure how to get from airport to Bus stop.

Rent a car may be your better option... hope you're older than 25...

I suggest flying into Boston... but I'm sure you already looked into it.

I was just looking at Skybus's website and have you looked into flying into Portsmouth NH instead of Springfield? There is a bus that will take you into South Station in Boston from that airport and it doesn't look like it is too expensive. Just a thought since it is not that convenient to get to Boston from Springfield without a car.

Unless you find the really cheap fares on Skybus, you should also look into some of the budget airlines that fly into Logan and see what deals you can find as well.

Oh okay. I know nothing about the area, that is why I asked. YES Skybus is CHEAP, I found 2 round trip tickets for like 100 bucks! But with the drive and such, it wouldn't be worth it and no I will only be 24 at the time of my arrival. So, renting a car is out of the question.

So there is a bus from Portsmouth? THat would be nice. I will still look about flying into Logan.

Thanks again.

Cool Try Greyhound bus or peter pan

There's a bus terminal in Springfield

Try greyhound, or peter pan?

Winchester, MA

will take you to south station or framingham (West of Boston) stops in Framingham usually - and ends in South Station where you can get the commuter rail and/or subway

take a airport shuttle van to the bus terminal from Bradley Airport
