Did you read the part where he said that the Chinese have a huge wall, and that's why they don't have an illegal Mexican problem...!!!

Oh, but they will, and we'll be the ones paying for them to live here. It's the middle class folks who are priced out.

Yawn. I hear the same thing in other states I've lived in. In Wisconsin there were always those that complained our welfare system was too generous and so Chicagoans relocated to Wisconsin to suck off our system.

Except, almost universally, the data did not support the premise.

Who do you think is paying for all these people on welfare or getting free health insurance? Wake up.

A two bedroom in my crappy old building that looks just like one of the standard-issue BHA "bricks" currently rents for around $2000/month. Now, can you even imagine what a newer townhouse in Mission Main or Villa is costing the taxpayers, given the fact it would be fairly close to market rate or even higher thanks to the wasteful bureaucracy that runs it? That's pretty generous (with my money) if you ask me.

My guess is they have no control over the thermostat. Heat probably kicks on in October and shuts off in April.

Right well someone should have control over it. I'd love to have free heat blasting all winter but I dont because lord knows how much it would cost if I did.
