certain parts of boston such as roxbury mattapan and dorchester are pretty dangerous but they are also easy to avoid due to the fact that almost all of bostons major attractions are in or near downtown and are u goin to bu or umass cuz i no that the columbia point area near umass used to be quite dangerous but to tell u the truth i havnt been there for about four years so it couldve changed and as for looking ghetto boston is pretty attractive but looks can be deceiving sometimes but overall i think bostons one of the greatest cities in the country great ppl and lots to do good colleges (as u already figured out) although i am currently living in atlanta and i sure as hell dont miss the weather hope this helped

worst parts: Brockton, Dorchester, Mattapan, Roxbury, Hyde Park, Mission Hill, Downtown Framingham, South Framingham, Springfield, Taunton, Fall River, New Bedford
Best Parts- Metrowest, Wellesley, Needham, Newton, Millis, Natick, North Framingham, Sudbury, Lexington, Dover, Sherborn
