I'm just saying there's a big need to alter ones state of mind and making it accessible to do so.

I don’t get what your point is? We all use our brain and most people don’t smoke weed all day everyday. Or at all.

I guess I never realized how popular pot was until all these shops opened up. I have never smoked pot. Perhaps I am missing out but it just seems like an inconvenience to me.

Yeah its very popular. The vast majority of weed (70%+) is still bought in the black market. Growing up in Boston (city) just about every one I knew over 16 smoked. Parents, aunts, teachers, coaches etc etc.

But yeah the black market is huge in California 2019 they sokd 3 Billion I. Legal weed conaorrd to 8.7 billion yes inatrd in the black market. Illinois is the same about 1.2 billion in legal were and about 3.2 billion in illegal. So just Cali and Illinois you're looking at like $18 billion in weed sales in one year. So half 500 billion annually is likely in the US. So likely about $20 for every man women and child-if not more.

As a kid in the city I never took a dip of alcohol until I was about 20, because they card you. And it wasn't a part of urban culture. I never even thought about liquor tbh. But weeed?? That was abundant and easy to get starting in HS (and earlier for a lot of kids) because no one cards you and you can buy at Ross Field or Ryan Playground and people will just “smoke you up” for free. In addition to this people will sel you weed at Boston common and I used to hang out downtown on the weekends as a kid.

It's so easy to access marijuana and so ubiquitous in many areas. Putting it in stores is the last place most people will go, too expensive and until recently no delivery. Also the quality if a lot of street weed is better due to go they grow it in MA. In MA legal weed (until recently) had to be grown indoors and held to ultra strict testing quality so basically growers use synthetic wispy soil and the weed grows up kinda of..corporate lol. Other states have more relaxed testing standards and can grow outdoors and use real souk indoors- and that makes it cheaper and better to smoke. I know from experience.

I guess it depends who you know. None of my friends ever smoked pot. It was never available to me.

If it's so easy to access why the need for all these shops? Ha.

Idk how that's possible? even at RL multiple kids were selling weed in school and smoking during school.

So that it's tested for safety, taxed for my municipal and state revenue, spur entrepreneurship and create jobs. And so people don't go to jail? Ha.

Maybe if I had asked people for it, it wouldn't have been a problem to get. But I wasn't interested. It wasn't being offered to me though either. At my high school there were kids who smoked pot for sure. I didn't hang out with them though and as far as I knew they weren't smoking on campus. That wound be a huge no.

I also am not sure it's such a good thing to be a regular pot smoker particularly as a teacher, parent or coach. Being dependent on a substance is why people go to rehab.

At the end of the day smoking pot and drinking are similar but alcohol can be easier to hide. Pot stinks. I know some people like how it smells. Not me.

Smoke from marijuana combustion has been shown to contain many of the same toxins, irritants and carcinogens as tobacco smoke

I thought about trying edible gummies but decided against it mostly because it sounds like they make you hungry. I've put on some weight during covid that I haven't been particularly motivated to lose so eating more because of cannabis I consumed seemed like a bad idea.
