If someone came on here asking about real haunted houses, I'm not going to recommend an amusement park.

If someone called a poster on city-data a "troll," would you then repeatedly try to reassure us all that the poster is most likely not a mythical, cave-dwelling being depicted in folklore as either a giant or a dwarf, typically having a very ugly appearance?

I mean there's a difference between getting clarity and beating something to death. The fourth post in this thread was by the OP who stated the following:

It was frankly, asinine, ridiculous, and flat out unhelpful since we all know the various meanings of the word Speakeasy - except you. You're fixated on one singular use and seem to have difficulty grasping that it's used, quite commonly, in different ways.

Probably.

Poor analogy. Real speakeasys do exist.

That better describes your long-winded comparison of Warren to New Bedford.

It's sarcasm, dude. You have a complete inability to understand what people are saying/asking for and instead go on circuitous tangents that are maddeningly off-topic. Case in point, the OP clarified what they were looking for in the FOURTH post and you spent three pages trying to convince people of the true definition of the word Speakeasy when nobody ever denied that A) Speakeasys have existed and B) There are still places to drink illegally.

Again. Off-topic. The only reason I had to explain it was, again, because you were so fixated on your own point that you couldn't acknowledge a single similarity. Something can be very different, but still share common thread with something else.

The thread went in a different direction (real speakeasy vs. theme speakeasy) as is not uncommon.

Definitely getting that time machine for a "real" speakeasy visit. I'll drop the OP a note.

(No, no one in reality calls any old illegal bar a speakeasy, unless they are like, spectrum-y and use websters definitions literally)

To that end, I don't know anyone who calls a cocktail bar without a sign a "speakeasy" either, other than the person writing a bar's press release/for a free weekly.
