I'm referring to the surveillance video, which clearly shows the event unfold.

Hmmm... how odd.
I was trying to point out the dangerous nature of the social media backlash. This seems to be pretty popular these days. Seems like the worst way to handle a problem. But, sadly the most common.

It's the lowest common denominator, hence why it has taken over to the extent that it has. Also why I don't see it slowing down, unless something even more "beneath it" takes over.

Is from the business owners security cam. This was posted after the teen said the pizza was thrown at her, and the community and internet backlash was already in full swing.
Video clearly shows the teen throwing the pizza.
Then she retracted saying yes only because he was saying racist things to me.
End of the day. Another employee fired. Another over blown claim (it seems like). and another social media rage.
Aren't we better than this?

It's the congratulations from the community that makes me nuts.
A man who has served the community for 30 years, hired POC, and donated to the community.
All that out the window because some teen posts a video and the community just eats it up. This fake news thing sounded funny a couple years ago. But I'm starting to get it now.

Narrative has long since superseded facts. Facts are nice, but if they don't agree, no need to fret too much.
