I've had variations of it at PJ Ryan's in Somerville, Highland Fried in Cambridge, State Park in Cambridge, and Elm St. Taproom in Somerville. Highland Fried's was the best of the bunch with PJ Ryan's surprisingly being a close second. State Park and Elm St. were fine too, but I'd go with Highland Fried. PJ Ryan's changes the menu frequently and doesn't post it online, so I'd call or message them on social media to see if they even have it. While the Hot Chicken Sandwich is kind of trendy right now, Highland Fried is the only place I've been that does it in sandwich form as well as on its own.

Interesting.

Never heard of this food nor most of these local restaurants.

Thank you! I'll let friends know.

It's farther afield, but I've heard nothing but good things about Flip the Bird in Beverly. I guess I will have to check it out and report.

The Tuesday/Wednesday BOS-BNA fares are $59.00 each way on Jet Blue. We were last in Hattie B's a bit more than a year ago.

Prince's would be the standard.

Kind of a dead thread, but I finally got to try Flip the Bird, and oh my gosh, it's amazing. Do not get the Angry Bird if you'd like to be on speaking terms with your tongue in the next week, but the Nashville Hot is outstanding. The other sandwiches that were eaten by those not interested in spicy stuff got rave reviews as well.

Five stars. Will be back.
