Exactly they aren't ghettos.

Using this circular logic if the section in question is a ghetto, the entire Mass Ave Corridor is such. If that's your argument, fine. But it's ridiculous.

Except it isn't.

Like your pal Redplum it's not good enough for you to simply state your subjective opinion. Others must accept it, or they are wrong. Sorry boss it's your subjective opinion, not indisputable fact.

IMO your naive To say otherwise. It’s but a terrible unsightly ghetto but it’s a concentrated area of criminal activity, income inequality and acute social challenges and dysfunction characteristic of a low income urban area.
I have a friend who lives on Northampton Street, and...the OP would be just a few streets over from a “nice” part of Boston. However the line between nice and not-nice in that area is shockingly stark.

Brookline? Look. I have a lot of thoughts about Brookline, but “sterile” isn’t one of them..

It practically oozes “coolness” and “desirability”, which is why its independence is so problematic..

This is so true.

Sterile? I can't say that's a word I've ever heard associated with Brookline. You may not like Brookline but . . . sterile????

The more urban part of Brookline has a ton of students/hospital trainees living there. It's a different world from the more suburban mansion part of the city. I also don't get how it can be called sterile.
