Yea it’s really a very different thing in Mattapan versus South Boston... I mean people were actually forced into Mattapan and trapped there in a rapid period from 1966-~1970

They absolutely were, as were the Irish in Dorchester and elsewhere in Boston. It was just a longer time ago.

Irish people were once slaves. Perhaps their anger in the 70s stemmed from systematic racism.

Mattapan you say? Funny that you mentioned it, care to remind us about the history of that historically Black Neighborhood?

It was once predominately Jewish until they were redlined out.
