You're dealing with a professional race hustler and a self-described black supremacist, did you really expect him to be truthful and objective? He's just going to throw out that seemingly large number with zero context to fan the flames and manufacture outrage, never mind that it happened over the span of more than 50 years and each of those shootings occurred once for every 100,000-200,000 police encounters. Which is in fact a remarkably low number given the number of guns on the street and the number of extremely violent sociopaths police has to interact with on a daily basis.

I watched the video again, it looks like he did have his wallet at one point??? Now this really doesn't make sense. Why would the girlfriend later claim that he was reaching for his wallet because he was told to, if the cop already had it? And why would he still be reaching for something? I guess we really don't know any of the facts now.

As for me? I look at everything on a case by case basis with a fresh set of eyes. I understand that each one of those 472 shootings has a unique background and story, and not one of them can be judged without knowing the full facts behind them. You realize most people killed by police are white right? It seems you are the one with a habit of compartmentalizing everything, "white cop=bad", "black subject=innocent".

Because I can't imagine why he would tell him not to reach for it 3 times if he was not reaching for "something", can you?

"Warning shot"??? Since when do police fire warning shots? This isn't Hollywood, bro.

Boston City Council approves restrictions on police use of tear gas, bean-bag guns, rubber bullets

The measure, proposed by Councilors Ricardo Arroyo (Hyde Park, Roslindale and Mattapan) and Andrea Campbell (Dorchester, Mattapan, Roslindale), would also require police officers to get on-site approval from a deputy superintendent or superintendent before getting the weapons ready for us - and would require that superior officer to not only give crowds two warnings, at least two minutes apart, but ensure people have an actual way to leave the scene first.

In addition to Arroyo and Campbell

Councilors-
Kenzie Bok (Beacon Hill, Back Bay, Fenway, Mission Hill)
Liz Breadon (Allston/Brighton)
Lydia Edwards (Charlestown, East Boston, North End)
Julia Mejia (at large)
Michelle Wu (at large)

voted for the measure.

Councilors-
Frank Baker (Dorchester)
Annissa Essaibi George (at large)
Michael Flaherty (at large)
Matt O'Malley (Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury)
Ed Flynn (South Boston, South End, Chinatown, Downtown)

voted against.

Color me shocked none of the white men want to even WARN the crowd they're about to get fired upon. Where have I heard that before?

The measure now goes to Acting Mayor Kim Janey for her consideration. As a councilor last year, Janey voted in favor of a similar measure, which was vetoed by then Mayor Marty Walsh.

How do you feel about doing a little experiment - go stand in the middle of the street and have a bunch of your buddies pelt you with bricks and molotovs for two minutes. Sign back on and report on your experience once done.

Also, I assume no further comments on that heartstring-tugging 472?

"The city council committee chaired by mayoral candidate Andrea Campbell hasn’t moved on multiple grants meant for the Boston Police Department, causing more than $1.2 million in free cash to build up as shootings continue."

"This comes as five people were shot last weekend. A few days before that, there was a gang-related shootout in Moakley Park, and a few weeks ago a 73-year-old grandmother was struck by a stray bullet and killed. There have been 10 homicides in Boston this year and 48 total shootings in 2021." - Boston Herald 4/29/21

Black lives don’t matter to #BLMansioneers as long as there’s no manufactured outrage-generating, cash-bringing cop involved, you could have gangbangers slaughter 10,000 in an hour but BLM will be howling about that one gangbanger who got himself shot by a cop instead while sending cancel mobs after anyone who dares to openly speak up about the 10,000.

#BLM, terms and conditions apply, void where prohibited, many will enter, few will win.

Also, why give those sweet taxpayer dollars to the cops when you can give them to one of your relatives instead for “services rendered?”

Do those geniuses realize that's a state law that has nothing to do with the city of Boston? It's behind a paywall.

Same story, different year. There are plenty of people in the city making far more than 300k a year. I don't care if they are paid by tax payer money. There are many other jobs out there that I'd like to understand why people make what they make. Tired of hearing about a small group of cops.
