Lots of people have mental problems.
We can’t keep blaming society for everyone’s mental problems when the kill someone.
I think we could blame society, fix society and hold people accountable at the same time.

I agree with this sentiment.

I guess this is the kind of talk we’ll be hearing from her for the next few years.

God forbid the person who got of jail and their families attempt to get them help I guess it’s up to the system to check in on these people continuously.
I think Boston can expect a major increase in crime now that Wu will be mayor. It's pretty predictable that "progressives" bring big increases in crime because of their mentality favoring criminals over law abiding people and excusing their behavior. The increase in crime will come as surely as night follows day. I hope it doesn't get so bad that I have to stop visiting Boston because I have really loved the city for a long time. But I won't visit a place that favors criminals but considers law abiding people to be expendable, as we have seen in places like Chicago, Seattle, etc.

Limousine liberals are mostly insulated from any crime in their ivory towers, poor minority vote is a given, starry-eyed fresh grad transients won't be here long enough to care and middle class homeowners living in the buffer zone between the criminals and the limousine liberals who will near the brunt if it are indeed irrelevant and expendable because most of them don't check the correct box on the ballot.

Here's to hoping all the criminals are smart enough to realize that relieving a Wu-voting Seaport CEO of his $250,000 Richard Mille is a lot more profitable than reliving some Neponset house painter of his $250 three generation old iphone...

I mean...to me it seems like only an idiot would say, society has failed someone who went to jail once for attempted murder and then shot 3 cops and was killed as a result. But this is a Harvard lawyer who is now the mayor of Boston saying it. Yikes.

Schools like Harvard are dominated by priviledged people, not smart people.

I find it kind of offensive that Wu would blame society for such a degenerate.

The head of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York met with Eric Adams, the city’s mayor-elect, to discuss policing and warned that there will be "bloodshed" if the city returns to its pre-De Blasio model, according to a report.

Adams, himself a former police captain, on Wednesday met with Hawk Newsome, the BLM leader, and others behind closed doors at Brooklyn’s Borough Hall, the New York Daily News reported.

The meeting was tense and turned into a shouting match, the paper reported. One of the key issues raised was the possibility that the city could reinstate its anti-crime unit, which Newsome compared to the Nazi Gestapo.
1. All Newsomes are dangerous
2. I hope we won’t have to go thru what New York went before we realize wu(s) don’t work.
