To call those housing projects is a stretch. If you want to classify any low income as projects, I guess so.
That is actually not such a bad location. It's not a bad place to live at all.

what makes you determine it's a bad location?

That poster said there were no 2 BR condos in Boston for under $500K. He didn't say anything about "nice" areas. I posted that link to show that there clearly are options in the city on a lower budget, even though you obviously won't be living in Beacon Hill.

2 streets east is Mattapan.
1 street west is BHA housing projects.
The roads leading to this complex look rough on Street View.
305k price.

I've been to Suncrest a few times it's not the best street. I've seen fights break out, seen someone get jumped on that street, seen people going car to car trying doors. Sure some of stuff might happen everywhere but my own 0.02 I wouldn't call it a nice area.

Not that it matters since there are worse parts of HP and better parts of Mattapan, but I've heard people from Mattapan refer to those streets as Mattapan. Chittick Elementary(which is a nicer area imo) is considered Hyde Park on now on Google but it has a Mattapan address and people at least used to refer to that area as Mattapan

I love that OP opened a thread about how the lifestyle in Boston is in general and half of the posts are about the specific location of a random apartment

They asked what it's like to live in Boston and we're providing an accurate representation of that in our own special way. It's like my English teacher said: Show, don't tell.

I would love to know the story behind this condo complex. It was clearly built to be luxury housing, and it appears to have been very well taken care of, despite the overall decline of the neighborhood.

What's it like to live in the Boston area?

If this thread is any indication, we like to argue a lot
