I went to a college hockey game on Friday night and had to show my covid card and ID. I didn’t have to show my ID with my covid card to get into a bruins game.

I feel like some of the mask rules have been so weird. I go to a Walgreens on my town frequently no mask mandates. I went to a Walgreens in the town over and there was a mask mandate.

Mask mandates are individual by town/city.

it's interesting because my town apparently does require face masks but only when inside town/municipal buildings. The stores ive gone into do not require it. The town over where i went to the Walgreens seems to have a stricter policy where you have to wear them in any public indoor space.

This is a bit difficult to understand, but I forgot when I saw people without masks inside regardless of rules. People just pull then on.

Not sure where you all have been getting your facts from. One's chance of picking up an infection within a 100% vaccinated population is far far lower than if there are unvaccinated people in the mix. It's exactly why we don't hear of people picking up measles or mumps in public.

Wrong. As a vaccinated individual who has taken all the precautions for 2 yrs, I don't want to chance getting an infection from an unvaccinated individual in a public setting--who, by all accounts, is more likely to have been careless in their behavior and therefore far more likely to be a carrier. Yes, it's likely to be less severe for me, but I don't want to risk it.

Not sure why it's so tough for some people to see this logic.

Wu has given metrics for lifting the indoor vax mandate.
Quote:
Mayor Michelle Wu says city is looking at three thresholds for lifting proof-of-vax mandate for Boston businesses — 5% community positivity rate, 95% ICU capacity and 200 hospitalizations a day. When city gets below those, that mandate goes away

Interesting. Getting rid of the mask thing is One thing but why did they ever bother with the showing of the covid card if it was just going to go away ? So basically people only care if someone is vaccinated whenever numbers are high ?
