It was over drugs, a group of teens lured the victim to Germantown in order to steal vape cartridges from him. Jaivon Harris, 18, of Quincy has been arrested as part of the group. The actual shooter is a juvenile and according to the article, fled to Puerto Rico. It is unclear where he is at this time.

"QUINCY – An 18-year-old Quincy man pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy Tuesday in connection with the shooting death of a Weymouth High School student.
Phil Burr, of the Norfolk County district attorney's office, accused Jaivon Harris of being part of a group that conspired to lure Nathan Paul, 17, to the Germantown neighborhood Feb. 15. The plan was to buy marijuana vape cartridges from Paul with fake money and then rob him, prosecutors said.
Burr said juvenile witnesses, identified only by their initials, told police that the person who fired a gun into Paul's car was also under 18. The shooter, officials said, then flew to Puerto Rico. Paul was shot once in the leg while driving his car. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Burr said the juveniles interviewed by police changed their stories multiple times but all agreed that they planned to steal from Paul after he met them on Taffrail Road in Quincy. Officers found fake money in Paul's car, Burr said."

Not sure it's clear that he told people? Maybe they pulled the airline records (would make sense if he had known ties to PR). I imagine that even if he did flee to the DR, someone wanted in a homicide would be extraditable. But who knows how reliable the law enforcement is down there...

My first thought was the airline. Its not common an 18 year old flies alone outside the continental USA. It takes one report and there probably were less than 50 names that day at Logan.

I'm surprised that teens are killing each other over marijuana in MA in the year of our Lord 2022. It can't be that hard for an 18-year-old to get vape cartridges if they really want them.

Very sad that the kid was only shot once in the leg and that was enough to kill him.

It's hard to get them in Bulk, for the low, I'm sure. Also at 18 you're still operating under the same black market people have been getting killed in for decades. Also it doesn't have to be that hard it could just be you dont want to pay for 'em.

That’s what happens when your mother had you because you’re a human ATM, your father is named Fnu Lnu and your role models are Jaquan Da Shoota and Laquan Da Killa. Keep voting for politicians who incentivize popping out as many kids as anatomically possible with zero intentions to raise them and this will never stop.
