I am seriously considering a temporary (4-6 months) to permanent position in a company in Medford, MA. The pay I am looking at is terrific in the metropolitan Detroit area, but doesn't seem to go very far in the metropolitan Boston area. I found on a cost of living calculator that the Boston area is 46.5% more expensive!

I am a 43WF, masters degree, Christian, divorced, kids are adults with their own place. I want to be near similar people. I also want to find a protestant contemporary Christian Church someone nearby.

So here's the question...

In or around Medford, Does anyone know where I should look for a 2br condo or apartment that is safe, affordable, has similar people as me, close to transporation lines, and offers short term leases? Or am I asking too much??

The answer to your question is probably... without any specifics

Medford, Massachusetts (MA) Detailed Profile - relocation, real estate, travel, jobs, hospitals, schools, crime, news, sex offenders

Area is generally safer than Detroit.
What is affordable?
Similar people? Similar to what? Looking for a date?
Close to transporation lines... going where? (see MBTA.com > Official Website for Greater Boston's Public Transportation System )
