Hello,

I'm not from the area (currently live on the west coast), but will be moving to Boston soon and found this apartment in Brookline at 49 Cameron Street. I will most likely be commuting by T to downtown for work, while my fiance will be attending Boston College for grad. school. We are mid-20's, no kids and are not into the bar/party scene, but like to walk around town and occasionally go out to eat or have a drink at the bar.

Any thoughts (good or bad) or advice on this area...or on the location of this particular apartment building? Any help would be greatly appreciated, since we will most likely not be able to actually see the apt. before we sign the lease.

Thanks,

Steve

It's not bad. How many BDrm's and how much?

For this location you should pay less than most other Brookline apts because it's a litle isolated. Not bad, it's just route 9 is kinda an ugly highway - well by Brookline standards. Also it is a little off the T line and would be not as convenient as many other places in Brookline. Brookline is more expensive because it has good schools for children. Maybe you don't need to bear the cost of that. It's not bad otherwise. It's real close to a sweet neighborhood called Brookline Village that fits your bill perfectly. Check MBTA.com to see about transportation to BU.
