Hi, hoping that someone may be able to assist...

Looking at relocating for work and am trying to find out what I will need to pay in rent to get:

- 3 bedroom house with backyard.
- No more than a 30 min commute to Boston Common area.
- Don't want to have a drive to public transport (as this will mean a 2nd car).
- House approx 1500 sq m, block approx 5000 sq m.
- Have 2 kids (2yr and 4 yr) so family friendly area.
- Kids mean that night life isn't that important but would like to be able to walk to a cafe, etc on the weekend.
- Don't want to live in a sprawling, drive everywhere type area.

Any suggestions on price and area would be greatly appreciated.

Newton, MA might be a good option. Go to realtor.com and do a search to get a general idea of prices. More affordable areas tend to be in outlying areas that are less walkable or in less desirable urban areas with potential crime and/or school problems.

Hello originally from Boston a commute I think you said 30 minute to Boston..this could be tricky..but a town I know well and fits the rest of your criteria is Arlington, MA very community oriented, lovely downtown area with cafes parks walking areas and a bike path...Arlington has a real cosmopolitan flare..and is so accessible to all locations in and around Boston..Another area closer to Boston is Charlestown, Ma good Luck Keltic
