This forum is great. I've learned so much about the Cambridge area and the T through this.

I have one question though; what is the likelihood that I will find parking in the Lechmere station at around 7:45am in the morning? Also, is it possible to park for 6 hours in that lot?

Much thanks in advance!

there is street parking with meters and a lot across the street. worst case the mall (cambridgeside galleria) has plenty of parking and is only a 5 minute walk

I'd say 2% chance. And that's if you find someone pulling out as you drive up. Parking anywhere in Cambridge is hard to come by.

Along the same lines as the original post, I am heading to the Sox game tonight and want to park at Lechmere Station (probably between 5:30-6:00). Any shot I will find a space there? Or would I be better off going to Alewife and taking the red line?

Alewife for sure. It has 2,700 plus spaces - the most of any station if I am not mistaken. Fee is $5.00. But they do fill up even so. Change at Park Street for Fenway via Green Line.

Lechmere does not have any official T parking and Cambridgeside Galleria is a ripoff.
