Hey everyone...I'm graduating from UF in May, and seriously thinking about moving next fall to Boston..I'm a 22 y/o nursing looking into internships at MGH and Boston Children's and have always loved the area when visiting. I was seeing if anyone had suggestions on good neighberhoods for housing (possible renting or condo) for someone looking to live with 2 roomates, that's not too loud but close to nightlife, shopping, restaurants, and the T. thanks for your help in advance...in any other tips about bostn in general or a new move would be great

sorry for all the typos...my keyboards horrible....

Allston in Boston has nightlife and is generally full of college kids. Copley Square is a nice alternative if you have lots of money. Otherwise, you might consider Cambridge and neighboring Somerville as they are accessible by the T and also have lots of bars/restaurants/young people.

If you do come, it will be easier to find a place to rent when the college students move out.

If you work at MGH, Cambridge/Somerville really makes sense because they're both on the Red line and are a few stops away from MGH. Children's would be tougher... you'll probably want to take a look at Brookline at that point.

Depends on which hospital you decide to work at.

MGH - you'll want to focus your search on the Redline: Cambridge, Somerville (agree with Davis), Beacon Hill (if you find a good roommate situation since it's expensive, but you could walk to work), North End (again, you could commute by walking)

Children's - Fenway (lots of college students), Brookline, Jamaica Plain
