Reading, Lynnfield and Middleton are pretty close to Andover but they are south of Andover near Peabody & Danvers and to me any way, not as rural as some of the towns mentioned here that are north of the town, also more congested with more people and traffic, trust me!

If your budget is what I'm seeing then you will love the Boxford, Georgetown area of Massachusetts even Andover itself would be ideal for you if you can find what you're looking for there. I see that you want more land though, then I wouldn't care for the Nashua area at all myself. You would love the seacoast area of NH instead. Go to the NH forum to see what I mean about it. It's definitely got stunning acreage and beautiful country roads in through the Hamptons, especially nice are Hampton Falls and North Hampton. Cary & Giampa or Tate & Foss real estate agents are two that are very popular on the seacoast as well as Prudential or the Hamptons Real Estate Agents. Look for any one of them online. Atrio dot com is another good one to browse through.

There's more home schooling around New England than you think, you'll be surprised I bet. You'll be hooking up with alot of them before you know it.

Is there a reason no one suggests Andover to live? I would appreciate feed back on this town and how long it would take by rail to get to Boston. On the internet, it looks like a very quaint New England town, similar to Lexington but I wondered if it is too isolated for my teenage son and too snobby? It is a real eye opener when you go to Urban Dictionary.com and click on the school or town that you are interested in a get a kids perspective. Frightening!!

Default Andover area

Andover is a lovely town with great schools too. Less than an hour from Andover to North Station. I know quite a few people who grew up & live there now, and they're very down-to-earth.

After you get to the site you can click Browse or just type in the school or city and state and the info will come up. It might give you a few choices on the left side of similar names to choose from. Good luck and make sure you are sitting down.

I was reading opinions of Andover by high school students on Urbandictionary and it wasn't favorable, but then again, it seldom is no matter how good the school is. They are always bored, nothing to do, spoiled rotten kids with parents that drive Lamborgini's and girls with designer clothes that are sluts. It is a common thread in most of the high school comments including heavy drug use and drinking all in very prominant areas. That is why I am asking what about Andover from an adult perspective. Is it snooty and boring for teens let alone adults or does it have a nice old fashioned town center to walk to with a good enough dose of coffee houses and restaurants? Live in California....can't see it from here. Thanks again.

Default Ended up in...

Well,

Just as an update, we ended up moving to Derry temporarily until our home in NY sells. Then, I think we will probably buy in either Windham or Hampton Falls... Both seem like lovely areas. Andover itself, seemed too busy for us. There is something about NH that just feels more like home...
