What hotel? the Radisson? The Theatre District is a good, centrally located area. Quiet is not a word I'd use to describe the area around the Theatre District given the central location of the area as well as the fact that it is a busy area in terms of nightlife.

It's not a dangerous area by any stretch, and you should have nothing to worry about during the day as it is a lively, virbrant area. At night, common sense is your best friend. As with any urban area, even the safest one, stay on the well lit, well traveled streets at night and don't travel alone. Again, it's not a dangerous area, but take the simple common sense measures and you should avoid any problems.

I think $80/night is a pretty good rate and the Theatre District is located within close proximity to many attractions in the city and right along the core of the subway system so you will have excellent access to just about everything. Its a great area to just walk around.

In the end, if you can get a 3.5 star hotel for that rate in that location, I'd take it.

It could be Park Plaza hotel...also... They're an older hotel but nice location. Not dangerous either. Red-light district (right next to Chinatown/Theatre district) has practically been eliminated.
