I'm originally from Mass the exurbs of Boston and the suburbs of Providence. I worked in Boston for many years. I never dealth with what you are asking about, because I never cared who was black or white or whatever. Or who was of this class and that class and had this much money or not.

When I travelled into Boston each day it was there this seem to be somewhat of an issue. Not so much what race someone was or what class of people someone was. It had more to do with the outrageous cost of living in Massachusetts and finding affordable housing. Which really does not exist in the area. So my African American co workers and White co workers lived in Dorchester, Roxbury, Randolph, Brockton, Jamaica Plain Cambridge. Then I had co workers that lived in Arlington, Needham, Canton, Sharon, Stoughton. All over Personally I think live where you want to live and where you can afford to live. The country is changing as is the world, and everyone just needs to find a place they can afford rather than what class of people they are.

I spent some time in Atlanta with my job. After living there and seeing the separation of races, I was very uncomfortable with that type of arrangement. I would take the Boston area and its way of life, over the constant and very noticeable level of separation of race and class I just mentioned. You could do far worse than the Boston area. Really please live where you want to live and just be a person.

I'm sorry you feel so put upon. The other thread to which you refer was disingenuously asking about where to find a "white" place to live (which, to me, means ALL white, or some approximation of that). And, the original poster went on to confirm my suspicions. Your comparison is, therefore, not valid.

This thread is about where to find an integrated place in which a black family of means would feel comfortable. Again, I'm sorry that you can't see the clear distinction - and that that is not about being "PC".

it is disingenuous for people to claim that if a white person were to ask such a question they would be eviscerated. in a city like boston a white person would have no need to ask such a question. a white person is very rarely a minority. stop being deliberately dense people.
