I am originally from Plymouth MA and want to move back to Boston. I would love to know whether it is possible to afford living in the city as an RN? I have heard that salaries have been going up a lot especially compared to DC, where I am now. Please, give me a good solid reason to move! I want to go back to Mass.

Worcester and some of the suburbs to the west are still pretty reasonable. I know that Fallon Clinic is hiring nurses (though I imagine that is true at most healthcare facilities!)

I don't honestly know what RNs make but if you'd like, you're welcome to PM me with more info about what you're looking for (rental/home/condo) and I can give you ideas of communities where you can find something that fits your budget. It all depends on where you decide to work and how long a commute you can live with.
