I am looking for lots of non-Red Sox "Boston" t-shirts, caps, etc to send home to my nieces and nephews. Are the souvenir shops limited to the Fanueil Hall area? They seem to be pretty pricey. In other cities Chinatown is a good bet but I have been several times here and there doesn't seem to be stores like this. Thanks!

Check out the cart vendors that work on the Common (there are always a few near the Park St. T) and also in the Downtown Crossing area. This was a year or two ago, but a friend of mine bought a nice T-shirt for $10 from one of them.

There are a bunch of carts at the Prudential Center Mall and some in DTX. Those would be good places to look. Also, if you're buying more than an item or two, see if you can talk the price down a bit for a "bulk" purchase.
