He can try posting an ad on craigslist. I'm thinking it would be easy to find a summer sublease off the Pike around BU or BC area since many students there will only need their apt in the fall/spring semesters. If he can't find a sublease, he can also consider just moving to Natick -- that way you 2 can still see each other after you get off work and you can just move in 3 months later.
