We are exploring the idea of moving to MA next year. I am a RN, hoping to find a job in the hospital enviroment. We are currently living in Colorado and the hospital system is different here. Unfortunately, we don't have a Union and I think that is a big minus. We are planning to move to the Sharon area. I will appreciate any suggestions you can give me about which hospital is the best to apply at.

My wife was a nurse in Boston and regardless if you're union or not, the pay scale is all pretty close. Some hospitals are union, some are not, but from what she has told me, the pay is all right around the same, give or take a little one way or the other. The non-union hospitals have to pay close to what a union hospital pays, otherwise they have no help. The big difference is workin in town, compared to outside of Boston. My sister is also a nurse with comparable time on the job as my wife and her pay was about $6-8 an hour less, because she was in the 'burbs.
