Where are some of your favorite spots to get a great photo opp of our skyline? So far my favorite is on the Cambridge side across the Esplanade...perfectly laid out....this beautiful weather has me excited for some green in my photos!

As a side note---I've been up to Top of the Hub for drinks but would love to take some pics up there. Anyone ever done this?

I have taken pics from the Pru skywalk, but not (I think) specifically from Top of the Hub. Don't use a flash, the glass will mess it up.

In addition to the Cambridge side of the river, good skyline pictures can be had at Piers Park in East Boston. Also behind the federal courthouse (1 Courthouse Way by Moakley Bridge) and near the Children's Museum. By the Tavern on the Water in Charlestown is a good spot. Any of the ferries into Boston.

I like the Summer St bridge where it bends into L Street, the Longfellow Bridge, the Mass Av bridge. Also, from Dorchester Heights in South Boston.

The Pru and Hancock can be seen from spots in the South End, or from Kenmore. There's a famous view of those two buildings from the third-base line at Fenway.

For something farther afield, the BU bridge for gives a view of the Citgo sign, the Back Bay townhouses and skyline and the downtown skyline beyond. Something like this: Boston: Charles River and Boston Skyline - View from BU Bridge on Flickr - Photo Sharing! (http://www.flickr.com/photos/wallyg/150803539/ - broken link)

For even farther afield than that, the tower in Mt. Auburn Cemetery is great (but a bit far for photos without a strong lens) and Robbins Farm park on Eastern Avenue in Arlington has a great view over the city from the top of a big hill. From Quincy Shore Drive or the end of the peninsula in Hull. There's also Mission Hill Playground on Tremont St near the basilica, the park on Summit Av in Brookline and a park on Bellingham Street in Chelsea.
