Can anyone give me information at all about Firestone, CO? We have to relocate to Denver area and my husband seems to love a house there but is it to far away fom things to do? I don't mind driving 20-30 mins.
Also anything in the schools

What kind of things do you like to do and how old are the school children?

There's not much to do out there, you'll have to drive 20-30 miles to either Boulder or Denver.

Depending on exactly where the house is in Firestone, it most likely will be in the St Vrain school district.
See map here St Vrain Valley Schools

Re outdoor stuff, you have easy access to 3 major routes into the mountains. To the north, CO Hwy 14 runs thru Ft Collins, and up the Poudre River canyon. US 34 runs thru Loveland, and up the Big Thompson River canyon, leading to Estes Park, the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. CO Hwy 119 leads thru Longmont, then Boulder, up the Boulder Creek Canyon via Boulder Falls, Barker Dam

Along the foothills from Ft Collins south you have Horsetooth Reservoir, Carter Lake, Boyd Lake rec areas

Use Google Maps to check out the area
Firestone, CO
