Hi Folks,

Are there trail equivalents in Boulder, CO similar to the Town Lake Hike and Bike trail in Austin, TX? This trail runs around the lake with several cross-overs to the other side and partially shaded all around. It's now known as "Lady Bird Lake".

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks!

Boulder Creek Path follows the creek through downtown and is fairly flat and shaded.

Boulder and the surrounding area are not lake areas like Austin is. The closest thing would be Boulder Creek Path which, honestly, is ten times better than Lady Bird. There are plenty of stunning lake hikes but they're in the mountains, not in the middle of the city.

There aren't many shady areas with the exception of much of the Boulder Creek Path and hiking in the mountains. Of course, it's not generally 105 with substantial humidity (in contrast) either.

There are a ton of open space hike and bike trails however; a lot more than anything Austin has to offer.

If you have to have a lake, in town, then: http://www.bouldercolorado.gov/index...90&Itemid=1035

But the Creek Path blows both out of the water, so to speak.
