Ashley, you're gonna LOVE being in Colorado.

Take it from an ex-baltimoron who lived in the Baltimore-DC area for 57 years; there's no comparison between here and back east. None.

Only thing I miss are crabcakes from Snyder's (in Linthicum) or Faidley's (in Lexington Market). Enjoy some before you leave charm city.

Denver/Boulder are close enough that you should consider them one and the same for job hunting purposes.

Find a job and move near to it. Views of the mountains can be had from most anywhere in the region; no need to live in Boulder for JUST the view.

Boulder is awesome for most people if the affordability issues can be dealt with.
Some really cool areas near Denver that aren't hectic like DC.
No truly ghetto areas here as are in west bal'mer.

I agree about the views, in fact most areas of Boulder have some of the WORST views of the mountains, simply because you are too close all you can see are the foothills.

I would try and live in Boulder since you will be in law school. Maybe you could reach out to the school and ask them where a lot of the students live or for room mates.

Good luck.

You are 24 years old and don't want to be around 21 year olds? You are the same age!

I disagree with this. Generally, some who is 18-21 years old is at a different stage of life than a 24 year old. In a lot of cases the former group is still very dependent on their parents even though they may be living in an apartment off-campus. At 24, most people have graduated and are either pursing their education with a specif career goal in mind or they are working and supporting themselves. I know that this is a gross generalization and that the economy has derailed many recent graduates plans. I just think that the difference between 21 and 24 in terms of life experience and stage of life is significantly different than the difference between 41 and 44.
